[NCASG] Additional Duties Pay

Travis,

In Wyoming:

1. Our rules allow pay for temporary additional duties which are typically
performed at a higher grade than the employees current pay grade but that
is as much detail as the rule gives
2. The rule is vague, so while it is applied consistently throughout the
state it looks different at each agency and usually depends on duties and
funding availability
3. Temporary duties are not to exceed 6 months. If the duties are still to
be performed after 6 months they can "reapply" to the Human Resources
Administrator for an additional 6 months but must have a plan in place for
either a permanent pay adjustment, reclassification request if necessary,
or a plan for a position where those duties will permanently reside. This
is not in rule, but is our general practice.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Meghan
