Kim,

Michigan reviewed its Job Classification last year, identified about 20 different classifications as "Critical Needs". This grouping is having its pay scale adjusted and in time could realize a 20% wage increase from where the pay scale was at in September 2022. This change will either go into effect sometime in 2023, with the earliest being February and the latest being October.

In October 2022 the base wage for all classified employees increased 5%, but it wasn't identified as a "COLA" increase. This increase was a largest in several years. While in October 2023 this same base wage will increase by 2%.

Hi all -

Yesterday, Missouri's Governor Parson released a memo<https://protect-us.mimecast.com/s/5r7KCL9z1JCXrxQVcBi-nx?domain=gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com> pushing for an 8.7% COLA for all state team members and an increase in shift differentials to $2 per hour for congregate care staff. He is pushing for this to take effect March 1, 2023.

I am reaching out to you to see if any of you have had leads on what your state is planning for FY24 and/or if you would be able to share that information? I realize it is still early in the legislative process, so you all may not have this information yet; however, anything you are able to share would be greatly appreciated. It could help us paint the picture of what other states are doing. We have a very quick turn around on this, so if you could send your response by noon tomorrow, Friday, January 13, we would be so appreciative.

I have also referenced the 2022 NCASG Pay Practices Survey to see what other states did for FY22-23. If you have anything else to add that was not on there, please send it my way.

Thanks in advance!
