In this section of the newsletter, we ask our dedicated staff to take the lead in keeping agency colleagues well informed and connected. Please convey the following messages to impacted employees:

HR Generalists and L&D Administrators: As communicated last week, Luma Training and Development is excited to announce an important transition in how we support employee training and development within our system. Effective October 30th, we will be transitioning to the Luma Learning & Development (L&D) module. Data from the previous learning platform, Luma Training, hosted on the Enterprise Dashboard, will soon be migrated to L&D. This migration will include attendance records and e-learning courses. The L&D module has been designed to offer a more streamlined, accessible, and supportive learning and development process for all Luma employees.

Key features and benefits of the Luma L&D module include a comprehensive training catalog, personalized development plans, Luma onboarding, direct training assignment, registration, and access to training transcripts. Stay tuned for further information on the Statewide Homepage.
Reminders of Best Practices
Temporary Merit Increases: If you have employees that need a temporary merit increase, please send applicable information to Logan Klaas at logan.klaas at dhr.idaho.gov<mailto:logan.klaas at dhr.idaho.gov> to process.

The Temp Merit Increase will be added on top of the employee's base pay ensuring the employee remains at the correct comp ratio. Please do not process a change to the employee's base pay rate if the increase is meant to be temporary. Doing so will cause issues which can only be resolved by DHR and SCO.

When submitting the request, please include the following information and also copy your agency's HRO:

  1.  Employee Name
  2.  Employee Number
  3.  Dollar Amount Increase OR Percentage Increase (Luma can handle either)
  4.  Effective StartDate
  5.  End Date

System Improvements
One of the numerous benefits offered by Software as a Service (SaaS) is the regular delivery of updates. In the case of our software provider, Infor, we receive monthly updates, with two substantial updates annually, scheduled for October and April. These updates encompass a wide range of elements, such as enhancements requested by us, improvements requested by other public sector clients, bug fixes, user interface enhancements, alterations to functionality, and newly introduced features. This consistent update cycle ensures that the State of Idaho remains current with the latest technological advancements.
