[IDHR] United Way Campaign Kick-Off

Hello!

As we swiftly approach the month of October, I am pleased to remind you of the upcoming State of Idaho United We Care Campaign. This significant annual initiative will run from October 1st through Halloween on October 31st. This is an exceptional opportunity for state employees to actively engage in activities aimed at fundraising for United Way, where 100% of their donations will be channeled directly to their local communities. Additionally, the annual United Way campaign is a great opportunity for team building, collaboration and a bit of fun!

This year, we have taken a statewide approach to coordinating the United Way campaign by working closely with United Way to designate campaign coordinators for each agency, updating the state’s United Way website, and providing a toolkit full of resources and ideas to help implement a ton of great activities within your agency/location. For those in the Capitol Mall area, you may want to start brushing up on your cornhole and soup making skills! 😊

Last year we raised $103,474 which was $11,236 higher than the previous year. This year we have a goal of $150,000. I am asking you to help with achieving this goal by donating if you can, and sharing information about the initiative with your agency leadership and encouraging employee participation in activities.

For DHR specifically, Brennan and Paige have been working diligently on a plan of activities. You can expect to see more information from them soon!
