Check out the October "Map of the Month" on the GIS website (along with maps previously posted to the site). Maps can be viewed at: http://gis.idaho.gov/portal/maps/gallery.html
This month, we are featuring an "Idaho in the 80's: National High Altitude Photography" map, which is interactive. The National High Altitude Photography (NHAP) program was coordinated by the USGS as an interagency project to acquire cloud-free aerial photographs at an altitude of 40,000 feet above the mean terrain elevation. The color infrared photographs show green vegetation in red. The NHAP program was active between 1980 and 1989.
Click on the NHAP imagery to see the date of the imagery, or use the swipe tool to compare NHAP data with current imagery.
