Dustin -

We do not have a classification for general practice physicians or specialty physicians. At both our state hospital and correctional facilities we have contracted physicians (and at the correctional facilities contracted nurses). A state-owned long-term care facility, our Veterans Home, has a contracted physician also but they did hire a nurse practitioner to reduce the cost of the contracted physician.

I don't know that you're interested in this but the only classified MD positions we have are our chief medical examiner and deputy chief medical examiner, and they have a whopping market adjustment.

________________________________
The State of Oregon is looking for some high level information regarding compensation for Physicians within your state. We are looking for trends in compensation between agencies and bodies of work to see what best practices are amongst our partners nationally.

  * Do you have a single classification for General Practice Physicians and Specialty Physicians like Psychiatrist?

     * If yes, do they have different compensation please provide rates or link. Just need max SR.

  * Assuming you have physicians in both a State Hospital setting and a Correctional Setting, do you provide different rates of pay for these locations?

     * If yes, please provide information about the difference in compensation, rates for each and any insight/rational for the difference in pay.

Thank you, please provide responses back to me if possible by Thursday the 7th.

Dustin
