Good afternoon,
The State of Wyoming is experiencing retention and recruitment issues with
our pilots for the State aircraft. Our aviation department shared that they
believe our aircraft are a bit more specialized than many other State's due
to Wyoming's weather patterns. We fly a Cessna Citation Encore similar to a
CJ3 or CJ4 8-10 passenger light business jet. If you have a similar
aircraft, will you share:
1. The minimum flight hours required when you recruit/hire for a pilot or
pilot in command
2. What are your average flight hours per week?
3. Do your pilots do all of their own flight planning and de-icing?
4. Do your pilots do their own dispatching?
5. Their typical work schedule - for example ours are either 10 on with 3
days off or 11 on with 4 days off
6. The pay range as well as the average pay for your pilots, pilots in
command, or other relevant flight crew
7. The exact type of aircraft you fly
We are happy to compile and share the results, if you are able, please
respond by Monday, July 31st. We appreciate your help and feedback.
Thanks,
Meghan - Wyoming
