[IDHR] Luma Announcement: Time-Off Functionality Available in Luma

Dear Human Resources contacts,

The Luma team is excited to announce that the Time Off Request functionality is now available to use in Luma for both employees and managers. This functionality is similar to the "leave request" feature in I-TIME, except the Time Off Request function in Luma presents an upgraded experience with enhanced functionality.

The benefits of utilizing the Time Off Request are:

  *   Increased visibility and transparency: both employees and managers have visibility into past, present, and pending time off requests, make it easier to plan and manage resources effectively
  *   Centralized data management: all time off-related data is stored in Luma, eliminating the need to use external systems
  *   Self-Service Access: Employees can independently access their time off balances and requests, reducing administrative tasks for HR and managers
Please work with your agency leaders to determine whether you'd like to leverage Time Off Request functionality in Luma.

If your agency would like to use Time Off Requests in Luma, we kindly request your assistance in disseminating this information to all employees within your agency. To help employees utilize Time Off functionality, we have attached two Quick Reference Guides (QRGs). The first guide is for employees, explaining how they can submit and manage time off requests in Luma. The second guide is for managers, with instructions on how to approve time off requests submitted by employees in Luma. We understand that this process may bring about questions from employees and managers. Therefore, a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document that addresses common queries related to time off request functionality in Luma Workforce Management (WFM) is attached.
A draft email communication for HROs to share with their agency colleagues is provided in this email as well. Please feel free to customize it to meet your agency's specific needs.

If you decide to forego using this feature in Luma, no additional action is needed at this time.
